VOTE, AND…

Leading up to the 2024 election, we needed a campaign that would acknowledge the importance of voting while helping women move to a moment of deeper engagement. VOTE AND is a one-stop hub that connects the dots between the actions women are already taking and the ways they can show up politically.

In addition to the work shown here, I also created Google Ad campaigns, built a Google Looker Studio data visualization dashboard to track KPIs, and conducted weekly status meetings to optimize the campaign's performance.

Work Plan

After auditing our existing resources and brainstorming new potential resources, I developed a team-wide work plan to concurrently build the landing page experience for VOTE, AND as well as the included components.

VISUAL IDENTITY

Because we were looking to draw in a younger audience, I looked to music festivals for inspiration. Bold type, bright colors, and graphic shapes became the backbone of the VOTE, AND identity.

CATEGORY GRAPHICS

We wanted women from all walks of life to be able to see themselves in these activities, so I created visuals to go along with each category of resources that were also used across social campaigns.

The landing page

I designed and coded the VOTE, AND landing page which included a pledge form for women to complete, promising they would take 5 minutes to consider a future run for office. Below the pledge panel, there were four additional panels broken out into the categories, “Gather Info,” “Make a Plan,” “Bring Others Along,” and my personal favorite, “Unwind.”

Social graphics

I also created coordinating graphics for page visitors to share their pledge on social or download to use as wallpaper.

Ballot Evaluator

One of the new components I built for the campaign was a spreadsheet that evaluates the representation on your ballot. The goal of this piece was to encourage women to look across their ballot, not just at the top of the ticket, and see how well (or how poorly) they are represented. They are then encouraged to share their grade on social media.
